The Chairman of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Alhaji Hashimu Dungurawa, has denied rumors of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s potential defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dungurawa stated that Kwankwaso does not need to consult anyone before making any political decision, but emphasized that there are no plans for defection.
“We have no business with APC, and do not have any intention to defect,” Dungurawa said, dismissing the rumors as mere mischief.
He described the APC’s claims as baseless and motivated by desperation.
APC’s Claims Seen as Desperation
Dungurawa attributed the APC’s actions to their knowledge of the damage they caused during their time in power.
He expressed confidence that the NNPP administration is taking shape and restoring order.
The NNPP Chairman predicted that the APC would lose ground in the forthcoming general elections, claiming that the party would not secure 8 million votes nationwide.
This statement comes after the APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, announced that the party has opened its doors to new defectors
