APC’S RISING POLITICAL MOMENTUM TOWARDS 2027: A CALL FOR NATIONAL UNITY, CONTINUITY, AND PROGRESS

BY: SANI ABDULLAHI KOFAR-MATA

As Nigeria continues to consolidate its democratic experience and pursue economic recovery, the country’s political terrain is undergoing a visible transformation. With each passing day, the chances of the All Progressives Congress (APC) securing re-election in the 2027 general elections are steadily improving. This growing momentum is reflected in the increasing number of political stakeholders, citizens, and former opposition members now aligning with the ruling party.
This article highlights the factors contributing to the APC’s rising strength, the responsive leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the urgent need for Nigerians to support continuity for sustainable national progress and development.

INCREASING POLITICAL REALIGNMENT: A SIGN OF CONFIDENCE

The ongoing wave of defections from various political parties into the APC is not a coincidence. It is a signal of renewed trust and confidence in the ruling party’s vision and structure. As the popular adage goes, “Where there is light, people will gather.” The APC has positioned itself as a beacon of national unity and purposeful leadership, drawing support from both high-ranking political figures and ordinary citizens alike.
This realignment points to the growing belief that APC offers the most viable platform for achieving inclusive governance, national cohesion, and enduring development. The party’s expanding reach across all geopolitical zones is laying a solid foundation for electoral success in 2027.

ECONOMIC RECOVERY: SIGNS OF HOPE AND PROGRESS

Despite inheriting a fragile economy, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has shown determination and resilience in reviving Nigeria’s economic fortunes. Through targeted reforms and policy interventions, Nigeria is beginning to witness signs of recovery across key sectors.
Inflation is being addressed through strategic monetary policies, the naira is gradually stabilizing, and efforts to stimulate local production are gaining ground. In agriculture, transportation, energy, digital innovation, and infrastructure, progress is visible. Small businesses are gradually regaining strength, and food security is receiving renewed attention.
While the road to full recovery is still ahead, the direction is right. As the African proverb reminds us, “Even the longest journey begins with a single step.” President Tinubu has taken bold and strategic steps to reposition the Nigerian economy on the path of resilience and long-term sustainability.

A LEADER WHO LISTENS AND LEADS WITH COMPASSION

One of the distinguishing qualities of President Tinubu’s leadership is his open-hearted responsiveness to the yearnings of the Nigerian people. He is not just leading from the top—he is governing with humility, accessibility, and a deep sense of humanity.
President Tinubu has consistently engaged citizens, labour unions, professional bodies, youth groups, and traditional institutions in meaningful dialogue. He listens attentively and responds empathetically. His humility in acknowledging the difficulties faced by Nigerians and his commitment to solving them speak volumes of his leadership maturity.
In his own words: “We will not rest until every Nigerian feels the impact of good governance.” This spirit of service underscores the President’s efforts to find practical and lasting solutions to the nation’s most pressing challenges.

THE APC’S INCLUSIVE IDEOLOGY: A HOME FOR ALL

The APC is not just a political party—it is a national movement with room for all Nigerians. It embodies the principles of inclusiveness, justice, fairness, and equal opportunity. APC believes that no Nigerian should be left behind, regardless of tribe, religion, region, gender, or economic status.
Whether you are young or old, educated or uneducated, from the city or the village, rich or poor, the APC provides a platform where your voice matters and your contributions are valued. The party welcomes public servants, private professionals, artisans, farmers, and students alike.
This inclusive philosophy is central to APC’s strength and identity. It reflects the reality that Nigeria’s progress depends on collective effort, shared responsibility, and national unity.

CALL FOR CONTINUITY: THE 2027 ELECTIONS AND THE FUTURE OF NIGERIA

As the 2027 general elections approach, Nigerians must reflect deeply on the importance of continuity and stability. Sustainable development is not achieved in isolation or through constant political disruptions—it requires steady leadership and consistent policies.
President Tinubu’s administration has laid a strong foundation. To build upon this, the nation needs to give the APC another mandate to drive long-term reforms, complete ongoing projects, and consolidate economic recovery.
Changing leadership without assessing the progress already made may reverse the gains. As the saying goes, “Don’t change horses in midstream.” Now is the time to strengthen what works and support the momentum of development.

CONCLUSION
The growing support for the APC and the encouraging strides under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu point to a promising future for Nigeria. While challenges persist, there is renewed optimism, increased unity, and a clear sense of direction.
We therefore call on all patriotic Nigerians to rally behind the APC and the leadership of President Tinubu as we work together to rebuild our nation, restore dignity to our institutions, and ensure a better future for generations to come.
APC is not just a party—it is a national solution. Join the movement. Support the vision. Secure the future.
