Two serving members of the Kano State House of Assembly have died.
The lawmakers are Aminu Sa’adu, who represents Ungoggo Local Government Area, and Sarki Aliyu Daneji, the lawmaker for Kano Municipal Local Government Area.
A post on the verified social media handle of Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Spokesman to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Wednesday confirmed the death.
It was gathered that Aminu Saadu fell ill shortly after arriving at the Assembly earlier in the day and was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors later confirmed his death.
The late lawmaker would be buried at about 6:00 p.m., in line with Islamic rites, sources said.
