The House of Representative Member, representing Bichi Federal Consitituency in Kano State, Engineer (Dr) Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi has in his quest to provide a prioritized and effective healthcare delivery services to his constituents is set to empower and partner with Patent and Proprietary Medicine Vendors (PPMVs).
Representative Bichi, Honorable Dr Abubakar, the federal lawmaker who is also the Chairman House Committee on Appropriations stated this yesterday Saturday 29th November, 2025, through the Chairman of his Committee on Healthcare Management , Dr Yusuf Mohammed Sabo, during an engagement meeting with key stakeholders on Healthcare delivery services in Bichi Federal Constituency with the theme ‘Collaboration for a Better Healthcare Outcome’ at Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi.
Patent and proprietary medicine vendors ( Masu Chemist) with more than 300 registered members in Bichi Federal Constituency play a very an effective and integral role in providing primary health care services and are an important source of health care for the people, located close to communities and are often the first source of care for malaria, diarrheal diseaseas, common colds and treatment of child illnesses.
