In his bid to strengthen healthcare service delivery at the grassroots and address manpower gaps across the 11 wards of Bichi Federal Consitituency in Kano State, Member Representing the Consitituency and Chairman House Committee on Appropriations, Honorable Dr Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi has approved with immediate effect the recruitment and deployment of 100 Registered Nurses and Midwives to health facilities in Bichi Local Government.
In a statement issued today Sunday, the Chairman, Honorable Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi’s Healthcare Management Committee Professor Yusuf Mohammed Sabo, said the move aligned with the ‘ ABBAN MU’ Representative Bichi’s drive to reduce unemployment and create meaningful job opportunities for the teeming residents of his constituency and address the manpower need of the health sector.
Professor Sabo also said the recruitment and deployment of the 100 health workers would significantly boost access to basic healthcare across the 53 health facilities in Bichi Federal Constituency.
The processes of the recruitment and deployment to be conducted by Rep Bichi’s Committee on Healthcare Management is expected to be completed within the shortest possible time as the
committee will operate under clearly defined terms of reference and will carry out this responsibilities with the highest levels of integrity, impartiality and objectivity.
