The Healthcare Management Committee of Honorable Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, Member Representing Bichi Federal Consitituency and Chairman House Committee on Appropriations has expressed its willingness to join forces and partner with the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to support and promote a zero-tolerance policy on drug and substance abuse within Bichi Federal Consitituency of Kano State.
The Chairman of the committee, Professor Yusuf Mohammed Sabo, made the disclosure during a courtesy visit to the office of the Bichi Area Commander of the NDLEA on Tuesday. The Chairman was accompanied by other members of the committee.
Professor Sabo expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and assured the agency of the Honorable Member, Dr Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi’s support and commitment to ensuring the success of the collaboration with his healthcare committee to combat drug and substance abuse especially among the teeming young people in Bichi Federal Constituency.
In his response, the Commander, NDLEA Bichi Area Command, Kano State , Mr. Kabiru Abdullahi Chiranchi, expressed appreciation to the committee for their visit and commended Honorable Member, Dr Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi for his exemplary support and commitment to a zero-tolerance policy regarding drug and substance abuse in Bichi Federal Constituency.
The NDLEA Area Commander also welcome the committee leadership for their initiative to collaborate with the agency, noting that such partnerships are crucial for reducing the rising rates of drug and substance abuse.
