The Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation Chairman, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, has announced the adoption and support of 9 primary healthcare centers across Kano State to improve healthcare service delivery.
Dr. Magashi made the announcement on Thursday, 6th November, 2025, during the symbolic presentation of drugs and medical consumables to the Accident and Emergency Unit of Muhammad Abdullahi Wase Teaching Hospital, Kano.
The support aims to complement the efforts of the Kano State government in providing efficient healthcare services in the state. It will provide antenatal care drugs and consumables to improve women’s health, reduce pregnancy risks, and decrease maternal morbidity and mortality.
The AMG Foundation has previously supported primary healthcare centers in the state with human resources, including embedding and paying a volunteer healthcare worker at Unguwa Uku PHC, Tarauni LGA, and providing and connecting water tanks to a borehole at Diso PHC in Gwale LGA, among other initiatives.
